St Bernadette Lifestyle Village is the pioneer in assisted living in Singapore, having started our first Assisted Living Facility (ALF) in 2015.

Until then, elderly Singaporeans who needed care only had the options of hiring a helper at home or gain admission to a nursing home.

The founders of St B, having run their Nursing Home (NH), Good Shepherd Loft since 2010, recognised the needs of the seniors who required some care and supervision at some points during the day but were quite capable of managing their other daily routines independently. If such seniors were admitted to an NH prematurely, their functions would deteriorate quickly and they would not receive adequate social care, which is what most of them would require at this part of their care continuum.

St Bernadette Lifestyle Village provides a safe, engaging and nurturing environment which encourages and assists seniors to pursue the activities which they used to enjoy and to be able to stay independent in the community among friends.
